BP Case Study

Standard MDF doors, even solidcore, take a beating when used on toilets and high-usage situations.  Frequent mopping and cleaning cause the skins to swell and delaminate.  They rely on a paint finish for sealing.  Handles and other hardware fall off and maintenance bills skyrocket!

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Since 2019, Resolute doors have been utilized in new constructions and renovated retail locations of BP. These doors are chosen for their resistance to delamination and swelling, as well as their exceptional strength and outstanding hygiene characteristics.

The fibreglass reinforced skins withstand the high usage and knocks from frequent (and often urgent) use.

The PVC composite edge seals the door from the constant moisture, cleaning and mopping.  A Resolute door does not rely on nor require a paint finish, except for purely aesthetic reasons.  On the other hand, a standard interior timber door must be sealed on all 6 sides to maintain its warranty and have some hope of standing up to usage.

Grab a coffee at your nearest Wild Bean café and check them out!  (Just be sure to confirm you’re looking at a renovated store with the Resolute doors, not the original standard timber doors.)
