Resolute Door Construction

Made for shopping malls, fast-food, wet and high-traffic areas, these composite doors are constructed of resin and fibreglass, with no exposed timber. That means they’re built to resist bowing, twisting, delaminating and swelling, with superior strength and excellent hygiene properties.

Resolute door sets are heavy duty doors pre-hung in frames suited for interior applications.
Resolute doors feature a fiberglass skin for increased impact resistance, with an insulated core to prevent thermal and acoustic transfers. The perimeter of the door is constructed with PVC to ensure a fully sealed door leaf.
Resolute doors can be hung in Parkwood’s Resolute Adjustable frame for interior applications or Parkwood’s Garrison frames for exterior applications. Resolute doors are the ideal upgrade from traditional timber-based hollow and solid code doors. Due to the nature of their construction, Resolute doors are not prone to twisting, swelling or delamination, giving a far greater in service life.
A range of customisation is available including paint colours, laminates, hardware, vision panel options and louvre panel options.

Resolute Doorset Specifications

Max door leaf size 2400 x 1060 mm.
Constructed with fiberglass skins, polyurethane core, LVL stiffeners and PVC edges.
Flush construction with no capping or protruding extrusions.
Available with different glazing and louvre configurations.
Can be painted on site, or Parkwood can paint to any colour.
For increased wear life, Parkwood can clad with HPL from the Admira range. Aluminium edge capping is standard with this option.
Louvre grilles available for ventilation.

Glazing

All glazing is wet sealed in our factory for highest protection against water ingress.
Double glazing as standard, with 5mm toughened exterior pane and 4mm toughened interior pane.
Full range of clear, translucent, etchlite and tinted glass available.
Total IGU thickness 23mm.
Other glazing configurations available on request.

Standard vision panel and louvre grille sizes

Louvre Grille – For doors less than 860 wide—200 x 450mm, for doors 860 or wider—360 x 560mm.
Vision Panel 5 – Glass height 465mm, glass width varies with door width.
Vision Panel 8 – Glass height 730mm, glass width 157mm.

Frame Options

Resolute Aluminium Adjustable Frame

This jamb is an all-in-one framing system for that will cover-off almost any interior wall and associated range of linings and finishings found in commercial applications. This jamb is designed to look and feel like a traditional timber jamb but is far more hard-wearing. There are no sharp protrusions and edges like conventional interior aluminium partitioning systems and it is far more sturdy to withstand the rigours of extensive use.

Quality Result

This aluminium jamb is finished in a powder coat colour of your choice, which is far more durable than a standard timber paint finish, and means there are no wet-trades/painting required on site. Concealed fixings result in a premium quality finish.

Faster, easier Installation

The 2-piece jamb system is fast and easy to install on site, as it only contains 2 main components that slot together. Fitting, nailing, filling and painting architraves will not be required. The jamb width can be adjusted as its fitted on-site, unlike steel jambs that are fixed in width.

Resolute Timber Flat Jamb

Hardware Options

Hung with Parkwood Commercial SS Ball Bearing Butt hinges when used in Resolute frames.
Most commercial hardware (Dormakaba, Allegion, Schlage, Lockwood etc) can be used with Resolute Doorsets, however Parkwood prefer to use Entro Hardware.
Stainless steel sheet or aluminium treadplate kickplates can be fitted to door sets to prevent scratching of the door leaf.
Kickplates are available in a range of heights and to the interior, exterior or both faces.
